Ok ... anyway ... I will now be appearing regular in Tuscaloosa @ Michaels. If any of you are out and about in the lovely loand of T'town on a Saturday with absolutely nothing to do .. stop by the bar and see a girl. I will be there every Saturday beginning October 14th.

I'm also beginning to be a regular at the Phoenix in Birmingham though I don't have a set schedule .. I'll try to begin posting my bookings to LJ and myspace (as soon as Shelby makes me a myspace page .. hint hint HINT) ... I love love LOVE the Phoenix! It's a fun place and the employees there are always supportive, friendly and nice. "Ya'll" come out to see the fabulous Zee Jones, Libertee Belle, Patty Pudding, Sabre, Cassidy Phillips along with other regulars like Savannah Heart, Porsha Black, Patience Taylor Fox and a more.

Of course, you can still catch me at the Quest! Maybe I'll start working there more often too - at least once a month or so. And then there's the ... how do you spell Yahct? Yahtc? Yacht? .. whatever .. Y Club ... I haven't worked there ... but ... hey if they call I'll go, lol. I've seen Charlie Brown there several times and she's FABU!!! Looking grand and still as trashy talkin' as ever! Love it.

And finally, the Jazz Cafe ... I haven't worked there in a long time .. hmmmm... Show director .. oh show director .. Call me, LOL!

So, I get in tonight and cops are everywhere taking finger prints and photos. Our apartment was broken into ... they took our dvd player/vcr combo ... lots of dvds....my laptop....suit cases ... and for some reason, the food in the refrigerator was all taken out.

Now, ya'll know I'm an optomistic ... always looking for the brighter side ... but I'm getting a little discouraged. Anyway, I'm not going to let this get me down ... "Shake it Off" Mariah!

Quick shout out to Paris Campbell ... I'm sorry to hear that you had to drop out of Quest Idol ... you were doing a fantastic job. I hope all is going well. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you to everyone who continually comes out to support me. I am sincerely appreciative and have been doing well in the Quest Idol competition. It's been close. All the girls are bringing it!!! To my Ttown crew, much love. Justin, thanks for being a trooper and coming to see me with the broken leg, LOL .. knee pads anyone? Lil'bit .. aka Dana .. my girl .. you are the best! And to your lil crew, say thank you for me. I am looking forward to next week...I want to WIN, LOL ..

Now back to a darker note...a close friend of mine .. VERY close friend may have lukemia. I need everyone praying for him. As most of you know I had colon cancer two years ago and have been doing fine since the surgery. I know a little of what he's about to face though not the same type cancer ... we are hoping its not but three out of the four doc's he's seen as pointed the finger at cancer. I won't go into details because that's his story to tell ... well journal .. that's it for now.

It's such a blessing to be apart of the first ever Quest Idol! I'm glad to be apart of round three. To all my friends out there, come out this Wednesday . . . I need your support as we move into Power Ballads.

All the girls want these two cast positions (including me). In case you didn't know, audience participation is 1/3 the vote. Secret justs make up a third and the cast/staff make up the final third.

I've done well in round one and two .. I hope to do well in round three . . . it would be so much easier to see all of your smiling faces. I know it's hard to get up and go to work on the Thursday after but guess what . . . I do it . . . and trust, I have ALOT more to take off than you do when I get home, LOL (-: (Well, some of you are questionable panty wearers, ha ha).

Ok...I'm safe this week ... moving on to round two along with Porsha Black, Alisha Coleman, Alyssa Donyelle, Khia Campbell, and Paris Campbell Star.....congrats ladies...most of you are my friends so I'll be happy with whatever the out come is .. and to the newest lady in the area ... welcome. Alisha, I hope you find a home here in Birmingham as I did. It's a wonderful city and I'm very glad to call it "home".

So the theme for next week is character ... ya'll come out to support us! Lord knows we need it! I NEED IT, lol ... I want to win (ha ha - who doesn't).

OK To all my TRUE friends and fans ... starting this wednesday Quest Club will begin Quest Idol .. so I'm told. Anyway, for the next 4 weeks girls from around the way will be competeing for two new cast spots. Now, I'm going to attempt to compete. It's hard with a professional day job but you all know that my passion is on stage and being with my peeps. So, each and every Wednesday, I expect to see you there. I'm told its judge in three ways .. audience applause, secret judges and staff critiques. At the end of the four weeks two people will be hired.

I hope to see you there cheering me on.

What ever happened to friends who supported you ... who had your back ... and who didn't criticize your every move? Well I learned something today reading livejournal ... and well I guess it's something I should have known.

But anyway ... it's good to see the face of a true friend. I went to Atlanta Saturday just to get away ... to rethink on things and come to terms with some things that have been on my mind. I had a lot of fun and really remembered me!

You know it's so funny that I use to be the ear for my close friends, offering guidance, advice and just listening. The sad thing is that ... I get down and have problems just like the next person ... but where's the ear when I need it? Exactly, no where but I've been independent for far than I can remember and well I guess I shouldn't have let my guard down ... but ... that's another lesson ... I'm back to me now .. realizing that no one will ever take care of you better than you take care of yourself. So what if I don't have a shoulder to cry on here in Bham .. guess what .. I don't f-ing need it Mary...get over it! I need to get tough like I use to be. When life slaps you .. slap the bitch back!

So ... dear diary ... what do I want to say to myself today:
I remember why I use to want to live in Birmingham.
***Sometimes you have to do something to realize it's not what you really wanted.

I remember what it use to be like to care deeply about people so much that I forgot to care about myself.
***The time finally came to put me first .. get over it! I couldn't and wouldn't stay a doormat forever!

I remember how it felt to have a dream.
***Time to refocus .. reinvent .. 'keep the dream alive'.

I remember where I've been, where I am and where I'm going.
***Wake up call -- get it, got it .. gooood.

If people can't understand and respect that then .. oh well ... I live my life how I want to ... and that is ... FREE.


What is a blessing? It's a supernatural gift from God .. it's the angel in form of a friend .. it's a mother's love .. a sister's hug .. it's family ... it's realizing that you are better off than you think ... it's being happy with who you are and content with where you are ...am I blessed? Yes! Still!

I have a great job that I love. I have friends and family who love me and who I love so much it hurts. I have my health. I have a roof over my head and a car to drive. I've learned to love me - all of me - the good, the bad and the ugly.

I looked back over some of my live journal entries and realized that the road is long and the miles I've travled are countless...but I realize there are still miles to go. I see progress...I see moving ahead... I'm not the person I use to be .. physically, mentally and spiritually ... and that's a good thing. The journey I've been on the past two years has been up .. it's been down ... and all directions inbetween, LOL ... I moved to a city that I love or thought I did .... still counting that one as a blessing (primarliy because it beats Tuscaloosa) ... so .. why be depressed...or down ....well it's because I forgot one lesson ... what is it?

Life has a way of wearing you down! BUT .. you have to shake it off...shake off the haters....the "going nowhere crowd" ... the jealous people .. the people who claim to love you but don't ... the people call themselves friend but show themselves friendless ....

What did I learn this weekend? When you fall into the shadows .. JUMP back in the light! (-:

My car was broken into at the quest! They stole my phone, wallet, credit cards, money, make up and shit!

PISSED ... so anyway ... if anyone is trying to call me .. I don't have a phone right now!

I've realized that me, my mother and all my friends are alcoholics! Ok...so manly Me, Racquel and Hannah ..... Mostly me and Hannah, LOL.

Hannah and Jeremy came down Friday for a visit and will be leaving tonight - I'm so sad! Friday, we went to the PHAT friday show and partied all night long. We put the drinking and dancing down. Every time they blow into town SOMEBODY gets in trouble...(thanks Ya'll). Saturday we slept til like 5 because...well....that's what drunk hungover people do. Our day started by going to the mall and just hanging out. We met up with Racquel and Madison at O'charleys and after a 3 hour (ok 30 minute) wait we were finally seated. They took forever but it ended being a good thing because the comp'd our entire meal. We ordered the house down!!! Madison and I even had some margaritas! So anyway that was fun.

Jeremy's friend Shara has this guy she's dating that works at Amani Raha which is this cute little martini bar on southside..anyway ... we got whoa sh*tfaced early like at 9. I had like 4 martini's and it was all free...so what's better than alcohol..right...FREE alcohol.....well we decided we wanted to continue the night out on the town so we drove down to Ttown to catch Racquel and Sincerity's show at Michael's. Hannah pressured Rocky into going out with us! We got her so typsy ... mama, did you make it to softball practice .... hope you're on your way to nashville right now, LOL.

Ok...so here I am posting a quick recap .. I've gotta sign off and get ready for the pageant tonight. Ya'll come support the girl's!!!!

I'm so excited ... I'm off to see my hetero twin Hannah and my other two friends Jeremy and Lulu in Atlanta. Hannah and I are celebrating our 1year anniversary. I had my gastric by pass last year on the 1st and she had hers last year on the 7th. I've gone from like 298 to 158 and she's gone from 335 to 185 --- hell yeah!!!

I've taken this time to look back and realize yet again that I've been blessed and I thank God everyday for those blessings ... especially the one's that come in the form of true friendships!

So ... have a good weekend everyone ... I will most DEF!!!! ATL STYLE (-;
